IEEE ENIT WIE AFFINITY GROUP
IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is one of the largest international professional organizations dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists, and inspiring girls around the world to follow their academic interests in a career in engineering.
How to succeed my life project
A training session coached by a Doctor and researcher Mrs Leila
Ammar where she tried to show to our members to necessity of having a life project and how to
realize it. The 3 main things that we learned are: the knowledge of ourselves, what I want to be and
how to be what I want.
An event where the IEEE ENIT SB WIE members can entertain
themselves and release some negative vibes after the hard period of exams. It’s also an opportunity
to know how to handle their stress and to be more effective for the next period. The main of this
event is to motivate our members and share some positive energy.
Thinking out the box
An innovation workshop where we asked the WIE members to
find a solution for a problem that we proposed to them. The problem is that a farmer has to find
something that he can put under the nest of his chickens so that when they lay an egg it won’t be
broke. The members were so innovative and creative, they tried so hard to make and create a way
from the nest to the floor where the egg can pass by without being broke.
On the 30th of November 2019, IEEE Women In Engineering Affinity Group in ENIT, in collaboration with the Computer Society Chapter and the Robotics and Automation Society Chapter, organized a workshop for the STAR Program at Pioneer High School Menzah 8 (LPM8). The workshop’s theme was an initiation to robotics using Arduino and MIT App Inventor. The students, divided into 3 groups, learned how to create a voice-controlled robot and competed over which group built the best robot that could follow a specific route.
Public Speaking Workshop
On the 20th of November, IEEE ENIT WIE Affinity Group held a public speaking workshop, animated by the psychologist Mrs.Nour Allegui.
During which IEEE ENIT members participated in various activities to help them perform in front of an audience.
